The Toy Soldier Bucket Hat

To be honest, we did not plan the bucket hat's silhouette to turn out like this but we were in for a treat when we were improving the prototype. We noticed that the bucket hat's shape has a close resemblance to a vintage toy soldier's hat that we used to play with as kids. 

This piece is one of the last items that we worked on for the collection, just days before we did the lookbook shoot. We observed the amount of fabric that was left from doing the various pinstripe pieces and we thought of including a bucket hat using these leftover fabrics to optimize our fabric use. This lead to the birth of one of our favourite accessories in the collection. The patterns and cut for the hat has been adjusted so it will fit snug on the head when worn.

This bucket hat comes with a detachable strap. You can add or remove it depending on how you would like to finish your look.
