The Multiway Dress/Skirt

Why have a dress alone when it can double as a skirt? You get these two for the price of one! 

This piece was inspired by a conversation topic with a good friend of ours. She was having a dilemma on how she wanted to style a dress that she thrifted. Unsure of how to wear it, we gave her an idea of utilizing her garment in two different ways - as a skirt or as a dress. 

The construction behind this dress is done with a simple concept in mind of sewing rectangular pieces of different sizes. We applied this method of cutting as we wanted to reduce the fabric waste from creating it. The top part of this piece is made with a gartered back and a belt buckle on the front to give a snug fit on the chest or the waist area when worn either way. It is finished with tie loops for straps for extra support.
